sell his lt1 for $500 or so. pick up a ls k-member. Do all the work yourself. I think it could be done for under 5k

if you were going to take the time to do a complete engine swap/plus wiring...why would you just slap in a bone stock motor then throw boost at it?

i gotta say im w pillarpod i realize that forced induction is not the most popular way of making hp on this sight but w his goals and a 8-10k budget it cld b dun now im talking cheap engine freshen and procharger nothing to make that stick to the ground that will b more yet i know this get said all the time but if and u do a nice stroked engine u will have 7k in it. And then u have heads intake all that other stuff and still only making 450rwhp maybe alil more. All these guys on here that do low 10s NA w this block r geniuses but they didnt do that overnite i guarantee theres yrs put into there cars to get to where they are now. Huge props to them its just more cost effective w boost.IMO...... or.....like the other guy said sell urs and buy the green one a proven dd that does that track time is amazing and u wiont dont do that urself for under 15k probobly more.

Ha it's not the way huh? We have guys on here with stock ls1 blocks with forged connecting rods and pistons, stock crank and stock 243 heads with d1 chargers putting down over 700rwhp. That's pretty cheap IMO!

OP It really doenst take much to make these cars Fast. A rear end with 4.10's will make the car feel alot faster then how it is right now. Heads and cam on a healthy stock bottom end will run around $3-4k if you do the work yourself. 400+ to the tire is a damn good amount of power!
