Default big cams?

i have been running 230/236 113 comp cam for a couple years now it makes good power as you can see from my sig but im wanting to get something bigger but not seeing really any big cams for lt1's so figured I would ask yall. im trying to get closer to the 500 rwhp mark on motor
so what big cams are some of yall running?
I have 383 with trick flow 220 cnc heads so size shouldnt be a issue, hydraulic roller of course, pump gas 93 ,

AI has a few really big hydraulic rollers. One is 248/252. Why do you want to stay with a hydraulic? How many miles do you put on the car a year?

That 500whp mark is going to be hard to reach just by changing the cam profile. What else did you have in mind to get to that point?

I agree that more is needed than just a cam.
The link I posted was basically a recipe that has accomplished your 500ish rwhp hydraulic cammed goal.

:-) can't wait to get my combo dialed in. Same idea just less cubes. Some dynos can give up numbers easy and some are stingy. What does your car trap in the 1/4?

500 rwhp is a very hard benchmark to hit even w a stroked car that has that big of heads. Theres alot more to it .

The numbers you have now are great..especially for 113lsa...i would be happy with that cam. It probably makes great numbers under the curve..But if you want a change i would go custom grind approach whoever you chose with goals in mind and they will get you as close as the can.

+1 for custom cam. Even then I think 500 rwhp is a tall TALL order.

If you only put 1k on it in a year then why not go SR?

You have the computer, short block, and good heads so give the motor the cam it wants and it will make your lofty goal easier to reach.

What valve train you running? Springs, push rods, rockers?3

500rwhp would be a tall order but you can get up close to that with a hydraulic LT1 but to think you could gain 50rwhp from one hydraulic performance grind to another is not realistic.

Yes. I should've been more specific. I meant 500 rwhp with his current combo plus a cam is a tall order.

I think 500 is achieveable with a custom grind cam, but replacing the standard/ported LT1-LT4 intake will need to be addressed. Stepping up with a Hogan sheetmetal intake ($$ MOOLA $$) for example will support the custom grind cam you choose and should produce the power your after. Pretty sure you'll get spot-on or fairly close!
