I think the sooner you wrap your head around the fact that it probably won't be close the better...unfortunately. He has the superior machine with the superior engine.

What tires are both of you going to be on. Are you a 6-spd or auto? If he has any clue how to drive it's going to be ugly as hell from a roll.

I will have 275 bfgoodrich drag radials. I'm a 6 speed with a 10 bolt and 4:10 gears so I can't launch super hard at all. I will be tuned on 110 vp race gas. The Vette will have 335 toyo road race tires. He is a good driver... He already said he has no problem power shifting.

I'm with you. Local race track owner here had a Caddy CTSV that would have run high tens if he could find tires that would hold it. I don't remember what it made on my dyno, but it was impressive. Ran mid-120s MPH, but had to leave Traction Control on (means it was not actually WOT until mid-2nd gear) to keep from flat blowing the tires off. The brakes are so big there is no tire/wheel combo that could hold it. Mostly ran 10.20s, @ 124.xx.

This Vette should be way faster than that Caddy.

That race likely ain't gonna be pretty. Unless you own the Vette. LOL

that vette prob runs from a 40 roll like a 135mph trap car, the aero of the vette combined with the weight makes it a hard combo espically with 570rwhp on tap........your gonna need ALOT to come close....id set your number at 650rwhp all day to get near him.....good luck lol

Well thanks for the honesty guys. He just had a ls7 lock up. Good think he heard it. Cuz it didn't mess up anything so he said he is pulling the motor to freshen it up with new rings and bearings and also he said he wants to go to different cam for better driveability so that might mean a smaller cam. Anyway I still need to find out why I'm not making more boost and he has a engine to rebuild now. I will definitely get some videos of the race. But now I know not to get my hopes up of winning.

If you want to see his car check out his you tube sacsitycorvette. There might be one of mine on there but not racing. I think I added a few videos to his YouTube trying to figure out my boost issue

It must be cutting one hell of a 60' to be running bottom 10's @ 124.

****! Can't type! 11.20s, 124.xx

That would be bad quick in the 1/8th to only run 124! LOL

11.20s isn't bad for a quite, comfortable 4 door luxury car. Quiet the sleeper.
There are guys modifying them just a little and running tens.
