that sucks, ah it happens with that kind of power though.....might have hurt a ring or two

If I can walk by then I will be there! Car runs its just going to sit til I get out of here. Side by side 7 second pass at the shootout is the goal.well that and being able to walk.

Yup. Piston won't be a problem. I have spares. Ring wise I would need to order some. Hopefully its not to bad. My spare bullet needs to be gone though also. So swapping it out is not going to happen.

fingers crossed its not bad. i might have talked a buddy into coming up to run ex/st. he just went 10.80 on a 150 shot. so with some work i think we could shave another tenth or 2.
god i would love to get down to 3300. i don't know what i would do with my self at 3100.

This years date (before Labour Day) actually works, and its only 1,100 kms away.
I think I'm going to start looking around for a truck & trailer I could use to haul the Z28 down. I doubt I could buy/install a 12 bolt or S60 before the shootout.
If you were coming down through Buffalo, you could meet up with me in PA.

The shorter (Toronto to Windsor) route is nice b/c its a 350km stretch where I can average 140kph (87mph) with little fear/chance of getting stopped. Your highways down south are just CRAWLING with state troopers. Its crazy. Nothing like that up here.

What's the etiquette down there anyways - can you typically get away with setting the cruise (not like I have it anymore ha) to 10 mph above the posted speed limit? Up here people add 20 kph (12mph) to any road, even city streets (not residential though).
I work in Erie, right at the I-90/I-79 junction and live right on I-79 about 35 minutes south of Erie. Speed limits are 65 in PA, but you can get away with doing 75-80 near big cities because everyone does it.

This will be my first time at the shootout this year and will be bringing two cars down, one outlaw the other mod pa! My question is,is the tech inspection really strict? I mean do I have to get my nhra license, window net, halon system etc Installed beforehand or will I be ok? If not I guess I have to spend some more money!!

No the tech wasn't super strict last year. No license needed, only a couple people ran window nets.
