Default ltcc

Where can I get a ltcc kit? My opti burnt out so I figured it would be a good time to change over. Is there any downside to the ltcc kit?

What precisely "burnt out" in your current Optispark?

The LTCC still requires a functional optical sensor within your current Optispark. If your optical sensor is shot, then an LTCC won't help you -- you'd still need to install a replacement Optispark (or at least a new optical sensor) to get the LTCC to work.

If your opti truly is bad, and your wanting to go coil on plug you should go 24x conversion.

By the time you bought coils and everything for the ltcc, the ltcc, and a quality opti you will be really close to what the 24x conversion costs.

The 24x completely does away with the opti.

Not to mention the LTCC still needs a functioning optical sensor for it to work properly. It is NOT an opti-delete kit.

I understand that I need a working opti. I think my rotor broke but I havent pulled it apart yet. I want to do coil per cylinder because I run a 6al-2 msd box and I hear that its hard on opti to run the more powerful spark through it.

The next question is what are you using the 6AL-2 for? If you don't NEED it it's certainly no benefit. The stock ignition system is PLENTY powerful for just about any application. Adding an aftermarket ignition often complicates things on non-NA/non-boost applications with zero benefit.

I have a 383 with a v7 ysi running about 15 psi. I also like the 2 step for more consistent launch with the 6 speed.

In any application that someone is pushing that kind of boost or more I ALWAYS recommend going 24x, the tuning capabilities will benefit you greatly.

If your opti is bad, then you can go 24x for slightly more than doing the opti and ltcc. However, the 24x will most likely save you in tuning costs, so it should even out.
