Angry

I have a couple of GM Tech2 scan tools I use. Autotap scan software used to not be too bad. Have not heard of it for a while.

That's what I have Ed, the autotap. Found a brand new one on a forum and snatched it up, then bought the tuning software. Thought I had everything I needed but when I plugged in the autotap, it only had limited readings. It said I needed to purchase enhanced parameters. I called autotap to see about getting it and they said they don't sell that anymore, sorry.

I have the software installed on a pc somewhere. No cable. Used it to look at customer logs. Have not seen it in years. Didn't know if they were still in business.

Believe what you want is an app calle Torque I remember speed_demon24 mentioning using it. I keep meaning to buy it but neither of my OBD2 equipped vehicles is giving me any trouble so I haven't bothered yet.
I did read up on opinions on the bluetooth doggles and it seems most folks just say buy a cheap one as they work just as well. Apparently there is a HUGE price gap in offerings and the quality is the same people still get DOA ones even when they spend the extra coin.

I have an OBD1 swap in the Caprice

On a side note, my LS1 Trans Am got rearended last night, buckeled the quarter panel in 3 places. If the insurance totals it, ill swap the ls1 into the Camaro, and part out the lt1. Its a shame, that TA was in near mint condition, 102k miles. I have a lot of blood, sweat, and tears in that lt1, but its really frustrating that I can't seem to get it running right. My first build, I think it took about 4 years to get it where it is today, and I'm still not happy with it.

You are close with the LT1, from what you have told us it sounds like just a crappy tune.
