Exclamation Lt1 stalls, backfires, and sputters.. Need help with this one!

Hello.. I got my wife's care here.. I'm stumped! The car just turns off when it wants to.. At a light itll simply just die as if i just turned the key off..or when just on a highway at steady state cruise. Usually on the hight Way the rpm will sputter up and down, then cut off. Usually starts up after.. If not 5 minutes later it will. Last night it started and instantly stalled. Tried again and like nuthing happened, it started fine. And today had to take it out.. It back fired every time I pushed the clutch in.. Typically I tend to shift at 2-2.5k rpm.

So let me know what you all think. I'm a tech for Ford so I know ****.. But these LT1's are somethin else!

Sorry should've added.. No cats. Long tube heders! Occasionally get a code for left bank lean. Code 44. Only at extended idle. Then goes away after I start moving

check for vaccuum leaks, and get the icm tested. My buddies camaro did something similar but only after warm up and wouldn't stall just surged rpms and backfired bad, ended up being opti but i wouldn't count on that right away. Check the basics first.
