Keep asking the questions. That is how we all learn. What we are saying is your static compression is too low to make the cam be any fun for a daily driver. Swap out the cam to something smaller that will like your compression ratio a little BETTER. Not great, but better. Especially in a car that is not tracked often. With the right cam you can have much better street manners and give up 5 rwhp peak. It will be a much better car for tooling around town.

A completely different setup, but to give you an idea. My friends LT1 is around 12.5:1 static compression with a cam in the 238/244 range. You need to get the dynamic compression up to keep them from being lazy. Friends car has 40 more cubes than stock, but the dynamic and static compression still comes into play.

We're here to help. Get the right combination before you put it in and then decide you don't like it.
