Paxton SN93 Supercharger - What's needed?
Long story short, father pulled out a SN93 blower for an LT1. If he has all the parts (piping, oil cooler, pulley, etc.), what else am I looking at to do to the car?
As far as I know:
Drilling the oil pan for the cooler lines
Tune
What about?:
Plugs
Injectors
Fuel Pump
Rebuilding the blower
Anything else?

Plugs one step colder than stock
42# injectors
Stock pump is fine to about 400-430 rwhp
Id have the blower inspected
Id call PCMforless and get a tune.

Awesome man thank you for the info! Just replaced the pump with a stocker so that is good news. I am only going for ~6lbs, nothing crazy. I don't think these can go higher than that PSI anyway.

I would also buy an MSD BTM to take some timing out when you are on the street in hot weather with a heat soaked car I have one if you want it.
How man mile are on the car you are putting it on, please tell me it isn't that 96 in the sig

I would not do a blower. You would be much happier with a heads cam setup from the sale of the blower kit. 126K is a lot of miles and that bottom end wont be happy with boost. I would not run any blower on an LT1 car with out some type of air cooling liquid or intercooler.

I have no idea without seeing the kit. you would have to provide pictures to get an idea. This is just the world according to me. I think you would be much happier heads cam then with a blower. I think if you hurt the motor with the blower you will be Sad

haha I would. I do have a motor out of a 94 formula though....
My father is looking for the rest of the kit. As of right now it is on the drawing board.

Everything I've seen these motors are good stock bottom end for 8 psi all day long without an issue. As long as supporting mods are there and a good tune you should be fine.
I'll be doing a procharged 383 at some point in the next year or 2 myself.

If you do not want to run an intercooler, you can do methanol injection for fairly cheap. The safest bet is to have intercooler and meth. I just put a procahrger on mine with intercoolers and meth with about 9psi. We will see how long it lasts lol.

OP belive what you may, but I have been in the LT1 work since 1998 and have had a hand in building some of the fastest most powerful LT1s while working at Combination Motorsports here in Las Vegas.

Negative. Do a search you will see many motors let go with supporting mods. Go to camaroz28.com as well. These motors in stock form are a grenade with the pin pulled once you boost them.

I know anything over 0PSI can cause stuff to asplode... I have a 94 LT1 motor that can swapped in easily if necessary. I am just unsure of what I want to do. I was planning on LT headers/cam for my first real engine mod, but then my dad threw me this curve ball lol

I'm going to put a cam in this motor before I swap over to my other setup, might sway me to just make a bigger cube n/a motor instead. A 396 sounds sooooo appealing lol. You could always just source everything for the kit and try it out, can't imagine it would hurt anything if you had it for a few thousand miles and pulled it back off.
