No problem, didn't want you getting the wrong parts.
It will bolt up to an LS1 but I'm 99% sure the wiring is different. He'll need a 98-02 4L60E

You have a '93 which had the one year only 4L60/700R4. It is non electronic. You have to have your specific trans rebuilt or find another '93 trans. Welcome to owning a '93 LT1.
Good catch, I completely missed his being a 93.

If it's leaking you might not be able to build up adequate line pressure to shift at WOT

With a proper valve train, should keep pulling at least to 6400

What kind of valve springs, rockers, length pushrods are you using? Did you degree the cam? Who tuned it?

With a GOOD QUALITY converter you wont notice it that bad in a Daily driver. Don't get some cheap off the shelf b7m , etc.. Spend the $$$ once on a quality piece.

As everyone else said you should deff. see better times with a good trany , converter and good tire.

Previous over of my '97 ran 13.1 with the following mods
LT1 / T56 | Longtubes | O/R Y pipe | Magnaflow cat back | K&N CAI | CSR EWP | Dynoed 292rwhp /321 rwtq Best et. 13.1@107 w/ 2.07 Sixty ft.

Yank makes nice stuff. PTC , Precision , etc....
Call em all talk to tech and see who offers what.

Your cars not a dog. Its limping down the track to a 13.xx with a bad tranny. Get that fixed before the thing starts to die more and leave ya trannyless.

or put a 6spd in it !!!

If it's got the lt4 hot cam spring upgrade the springs in it, that would be a helpful start. comp cams behive 918's are good.

No simple spring swap is all it is. Stiffer spring, less valve float, and room for a bigger cam down the road. Max lift on the 918's is .625 if I recall right from earlier.
