Yours may have been opened up and the actual PROM chip been changed inside the factory MEMCAL. That is the other option for tuning.

bought this 4 years ago as a roller came with the Trans and block,the block had a big azz hole in the block! Car came with i&n intake a couple of 1.5 roller top rocker.hooker super comp headers and msd digital 6. I'm thinking he sprayed it lol

Now, that being said. Is the engine similar to the previous set up that the car was tuned for? Or is it time for a new tune?

I have seen & redone chips with a label with just a name like that on it, but I don't recall who does that. If the fans come on that soon, on a cold engine, there is something wrong with the car. I can not imagine anyone setting the fan control temps that low in the chip unless they simply mis-typed a number when doing the calibration. Not that hard to do. I would scan it looking for codes or bogus data indicating maybe an ECM issue. Could be a coolant sensor issue, indicatind a higher than actual coolant temp. The ECM wouldn't know the difference, it would just turn the fans on.

I'm admittedly less familiar with OBDI than OBDII. If we're lucky, Ed will stop in here and tell us any other tell tale signs of your car being tuned. I often think that he has forgotten more things about LT1s, tuning, and racing in general than I could ever wish to know, and I'm not all that humble to begin with lol
However, even without that I'd feel completely confident saying your car has been tuned.
