Then what's it like modding a high mileage, highly modified car that you know absolutely no history about???

hahaha... yeah.

Bigshow- I'm going to take your advice into consideration and start looking at some lower mileage LT1s. Thanks for your input though

The idea of buying a stock car and building it up is the most fun but also the most expensive. My dad bought my car new and Its been mine for about 2 years now. It has pretty much all the bolt ons( I waiting for my long tubes). As you can see from my sig, she runs VERY strong. Its had synthetic in it ever since the first oil change. It just turned 57,000 miles.
I think you'll love the M6. Ever since my 12 bolt install, I can launch hard as hell and dont have to worry about breaking at the track. Good luck finding a stock/well maintained M6 car with low miles. Best of luck with whatever you go with.

I'd love to have a lower mileage car, but I have to make sure I have at least 1700-1800 left over so I can get a rear (I have about $500 in the bank right now). There's no way I'd be able to afford one later, so I'd like to purchase a 12-bolt/9" right off the bat and not have to worry about it.

But yeah, I'm very excited about building up my own LT1. It's something I've wanted to do ever since about a month after I bought my current LT1 with all of the work done to it.

High mileage could be a problem, but I bought my car with 92,000 on the clock...now it has 98,000 but I can't wait to start to mod the car....could result in problems, but that's always a chance that we take.
