I have a cc503 stock gear, ARP shaft. No problems.

Good Job! Keep an eye on the magnetic drain plug for filings or slivers, IMO black paste residue is normal. Don't over check it either, you'll miss the forest for the trees.

I don't know if it's all in my head or what, but it does not feel like it pulls as hard as it used to.

Could it possibly be how you adjusted the rockers? May have got them too tight or something. Just a thought.

Suppose it's possible. I moved the P/R up and down till I could no more, then did a 1/2 turn. I did not soak them in oil, but I did soak them in mineral spirits. Maybe I could have a vacuum leak somewhere too. I am also running open Y pipe right now cause I was in the process of getting new exhaust when it broke, so that always make it feel doggy.
