93 motor & trans in 97
With the 93 being SD versus MAF driven is there anything I need to worry about with swapping in a 93 motor into a 97 other than using the MAF and a PCM flash?
How about the M6 trans? Anything to be aware of? I vaguely remember the internal gearing may be different, but unsure.
Thanks for any help!

On late 94-97 LT1s, the dowel pin extends .625"
92-early 94 cam dowel pin length should be .340"
Be sure to check that or you will have issues.
Like Duh said.
Swap '97 timing cover, reluctor wheel, timing set, balancer hub, opti, throttle body, intake manifold, fuel rails, and oil pressure sensor fitting onto the '93 motor. You could either swap the '97 cam to the '93 or just switch dowel pins (not sure how hard it is to remove). The '93 cam is slightly better though. I'm pretty sure that's it.

Flash it as a 94-95.
