4K for a full turbo kit is not bad at all. A lot of us have more then that in our heads and valvetrain. If I didn't already mill my heads down so much and spec my cam for NA, I would jump on a ~$3500 turbo kit in a heartbeat.

i beg to differ. my junk is pump gas friendly as well, with crappy 23 deg. heads.

Let's not compare some dirty high mileage ghetto rigged lt1 to a very well built clean low mileage car. That's apples to oranges. Oh and BTW I sold a 96 z28 with 40k original miles and ran 11.3's in the quarter with a stroker motor & supporting mods. I got $13k out of it. Not too bad I don't think.
I think you haven't a clue what you are speaking about when it comes to the strength of a gen2 vs gen3 block.

i know the few 5.3's in the 8's one is in a 2400 pound rx7, 29 psi or so on race gas IIRC . . .

not here to prove the LT is better than LS.

if i were to slap my setup into a gutted notch fox body and get it dialed in i know for sure i could hit 8's with it a few times. 2800 pounds vs 3800 helps

maybe one of these days ill try it out, but for now in the F body chassis, stock long block with cam, single plane and 20 psi it has 9.85 on rev limiter, theres lots more in it and we will get it all out before it stops beating.

who knows, i could turn the boost up to 29 like these LS guys are and see what happens, it could go 8's or it could pop, time will only tell.

LT1 or LS1 why is a turbo system a waste of time?? thats like telling a kid with a honda a turbo is a waste of time just go buy a camaro . . . yea like tat will happen, most LT1 guys that run FI or spray tend to stick with the LT1 motor, they may build it but thats just fine.
Less talk, more proof.

You should probably just stop with the talking, you look dumber every post you make.

You are right. He does make a good quality turbo kit, they fit with no modification needed what so ever, and came at a decent price.

But yet, how many turbo LT1 cars do you being completed, race, and or driven on a daily basis?

Cry and moan all you want, but the turbo 5.3 crowd are a dime a dozen for a reason, turbo LT1s are non existent.

I wish the best for the OP, but if he thinks the positive answers from a thread like this means he will sell a bunch of kits, well, good luck with that. LT1 owners are notoriously cheap.

Not to take away from the performance differences between the two, however lots of LSx people who run PA/FI would rather use an iron block. Just sayin'.

Right, a gen III iron block is how much? And can take how much power for how little money? And he somehow thinks a gen II is the better platform.

I dunno what dollar/difference is between the two. I don't like to get into those debates because it's retarded. I'm just posting from a durability/longevity standpoint.

these things are getting really old, run down and cheap. So whatever goes into a turbo on this car has to be cheaper vs. more expensive. I have a hard time believing any of you guys would really drop 4k on a LT1 car for a turbo.

The only guys that "may" are the one's that already have an investment where 4k on a turbo is cheaper than a platform change to LS1 let's say.
i got a turbo lt1 trust me all people dont care for the ls engine and 4 gs is kinda exspensive but ur paying for the labor i think my kit would run bout 4500 just in turbo kit nothing more
