Default Tuning 24x o2 sensors

I got my tune done and i know that there is a problem because of having to switch firing orders. So my tuner just tuned out the o2 sensors and when i look at my dyno graph air to fuel ratio is good but it just smells like it runs rich...has anyone been able to have functional o2 sensors with the 24x swap?

Every 24x conversion I'm aware of has functional O2 sensors...that is, closed loop is enabled.

Let's not complicate this. The 24x conversion accomplishes the crank and cam signals of an LS1 engine. The (LS1) PCM runs the LT1 engine just as it does the LS1 engine. As long as your tuner did his job properly (and all other sensors and such are in in order), all engine features found in an LS-Series vehicle are available to LT1 equipped vehicles.

yes he did a good job tuning but told me he was unable to tune with the o2 sensors because it was getting bad bank readings becasue the swap of the firing order so he tuned the o2 sensors out..but I kind of want them to work seeing that when im driving it can adjust properly not just go according to what the dyno mapped out...how were you able to accomplish this ?

Did he mean he deleted the rear o2s but the fronts are still working?

The firing order should be swapped in the wire harness (injectors and coils 2&3 and 7&4). Beyond that, the Injection Bank Assignment table in the calibration should be updated to reflect the firing order. That's all there is to it.

Just what Mike said. You have to swap the injector bank assignments, you can copy them from an early express van that used the same firing order as the LTx.

This is your issue.

That's what I thought I was told by him since it was his first 24x tune that he wasn't able to assign banks for some reason maybe it is the tuning software he was using efi live

Sounds like you need a new tuner

EFILive has the table. It's easy to change.
