So you are running 17 x 11s all around with 315s on them?? I did that for a while back in 94 on my 93 Fourth Gen. Interestingly enough the stronger front springs kept the fenders off the tires. I couldn't do that in the rear however so forever got black marks on my rear white fenders. We didn't yet have the GS offset in 94.

So true. We generally never could get through a weekend without a major shunt with a couple (sometimes several) of the cars, but we did all pit together deliberately so everyone would realize it was just racing and we stayed close personally.
More shunts were breakage than brain fade (driver error) so that helped also. We had several spectacular crashes and totaled cars at turn 10 at Sears Point. That is a very bad place to go off as you hit the wall hard at a 100 or so.
Even though I was going 90-95 the tire wall was relatively gentle as it turned me over and put me on my hat so the car only spent 2 weeks on a frame bench and needed a new front clip which an autox buddy (Jesus Villereal) happened to have in my factory color as he was building a CP car.
Totally love the sport, but it is nearly a full time commitment to do it right. I started in 1994 and ran 52 weekends that same year, driving all over the West Coast to attend events. The more seat time you get the better your will be.
