Default LT1 Coil Bracket for LS1 Coils

I currently own the LTCC Coil Conversion.
The LS1 Coil Packs are not mounted very well.
I have been looking into this bracket, but cannot find it elsewhere.
Anyone have any clue who made this bracket? I need the whole thing.
From the plate that sits on the intake to the top brackets.

or maybe someones up to making it?

While I'm not sure who makes those brackets, EFI Connection is only a few weeks away (maybe as soon as next week) from offering coil brackets for the LS1 coils.

davidc212k,

That coil mounting set up you posted was done by a company called MBA, quality stuff but long out of business.

We will soon release coil brackets for every type of LS ignition coil. The 3D models are done, one of the two fixtures are done (for the CNC mill), and we should begin milling the final fixture tomorrow.

Coming very soon...

Final price is unknown. I only know we have about 30 min into facing both sides and milling the four center holes. Additional machine time won't be known until late next week.

Will be buying the truck coil brackets! My home made ones are ok but a pain in the butt when you need to take the cable covers off.

All brackets were machined last week. They are currently in the hands of the metal finisher and anodizer. Supposedly they were finished (we are trying out a few different finishing textures) and anodized on Monday. That's what I knew as of last week.

The only bracket not available yet is this one below. We have to use a different threaded spacer for this application. Those spacers are not available yet. I'm trying not to use "truck coils" because trucks received more than one type of coil (trucks used any one of three different coils).

If anyone wants a set of unfinished brackets at a reduced price, please contact EFI Connection (not through the message forum) and we may be able to arrange for a set of semi-raw brackets...we have a few sets that did not go to the metal finisher. We can apply a fine texture (glass bead).

I would strongly recommend waiting for anodized brackets because they don't scratch as easily. I suppose you could paint or powder coat them. We will not offer painted brackets (they scratch too easily), powder coat brackets (powder coat dulls as you clean/wipe the surface), or polished brackets. Anodize is really the best solution.

I have a question on the truck coils, the ones with the heat sink on top of the coil pack. Is their more than one style of those? Just curious because I was getting ready to purchase a set for my swap, and I wanted to use the EFI Connection brackets.

There is only one style of LS ignition coil with heat sink on top.

I won't hold you to it but do you have a guesstimate of when those brackets will be ready with the spacers for the "truck coils"?

And if I could get them in a raw form if it will save a significant amount I would take them as I'd be looking to powder coat them to go with the color scheme

These brackets will be unique in that they use a smaller spacer and a M5x0.8 thread (other brackets use 1/4-20 thread).

Fasteners ordered today. Should have them within two weeks.
Spacers should be ready within the next 5 weeks.

I'm going to suggest the brackets will be ready within 5 weeks.

It won't be a significant savings. Keep in mind these are anodized in batches. To exclude one set from a batch won't be a significant savings.

That will work.

Just a question, but why 5mm bolts and not the 6x1.0 that the LS actually uses?

If there isn't much of a savings by not going anodized it would be silly to not have it done. Hopefully then they will look good with some polished canton valve covers. If its possible to pm or just post up when they're ready I would appreciate it. I will most likely try to order the conversion kit and the brackets at the same time.

The "truck coils" (heatsink on top) use M5x0.8 bolts to attach to the GM bracket.
