yea the pacestters on my truck are doing the same thing and starting to rust, but it is also my daily and sees winters. i saw the cutout in the pics, was just wondering if the rest was the same as before. how do you like the flowmaster? ive always thought they were droney, had a 40 series on my old pickup and wasnt a big fan because of that.

The old flowmaster that was already on my car when I bought it from my brother was louder than this bigger 3 in 3 out muffler that was on my brothers LS1. Neither have given me any drone. Most likely it is just the placement of the muffler itself. The flowmaster that is on there now is so quiet, I find myself driving with the cutout open most of the time when I am by myself. With my turn down I had installed after the cutout, it has a small enough drone where you can still talk normally inside the car while driving. Once you give it any throttle or at WOT it is entirely different though. There is a obvious performance difference opening the cutout vs running through even the bigger flowmaster that is on now.

I upgraded to a 85mm Delphi MAF that was only $70 bucks shipped. I figured I would share this in my thread and post a link with pics of the difference between stock and the AF10056 Delphi unit. Here is the link to the post I made in the pcm-diagnostics-tuning section.

How well did the LS1 air lid fit the VFN hood? Was there alot of trimming to get it to fit?

When you order the hood, ask them to do their revised trimming on the hood for the LS1 air lid. When they build the hood, they trim out some of the original mold to "help" the air lid fit. I still had to trim on the under side of the LS1 radiator support to get it to clear the hood. I also made new holes in the radiator support. Doing this allowed me to mount the air lid closer to the engine and help clear the hood. After those steps were done it fit fine and have not had a problem. Very happy with the purchase.

Car has slowly gotten more and more work done over the years. It’s now a Cam Motion LLSR solid roller along with a bunch of other mods.

Car looks awesome, very clean, well done! Wheels are nice, which are they? I’m a Cam Motion fan, I didn’t realize they could cut a bumpstick for an LT1 so that is very good to know.

It’s nasty. I like it. Rev limiter set at 7500. AFR heads and a 24x conversion changed the cars life.

That’s the kind of answer I’m looking for because that’s pretty much exactly what I’m doing. I haven’t decided on whether or not I’m going to use the full TH Kit or if I want to use a Holley Terminator X in place of the LS PCM.

I agree it is well worth it. Anybody that still has a gen 2 LT1 would really benefit from the swap. The car just overall runs better from cold start to red line. Much easier to data log and tune with the 411 pcm. I imagine the Holley would be even better. I believe they are self learning?

Recently went with some 18x7/18x11 Weld S71’s, put a 98-02 SS spoiler on and also got the car ceramic coated with black window tint. Working on pulling some more weight out of the car then putting a dedicated nitrous setup on.
