So the PO installed a BBK underdrive pulley (I should've removed it when I did the opti but whatever). So I took the old belt off to check the part # and get a new one just for kicks.

I bought one off of rockauto and they sent me a cogged one (description was wrong and got a refund- but my friend's dad who is a mechanic said it would be fine to run it?)-



So they resent the correct ribbed one and it looks like this one is defective? Or is it supposed to look like this?

IDK. I use Goodyear Gatorback belts and they look like the top one.

Yah its fine and the like shoebox said the old gatorbacks looked like the top one. It was supposed to let the belt flex easier around pullies and make less noise.

i agree on the gatorbacks and the cog belt posted first. It wont hurt the car it will work, it still has the ribs but like stated has the cog part to help silence the belts.

Thanks gents! I'm a little weary of putting the cogged belt on considering it looks well over 5 years old lol. Any opinions on the 2nd ribbed one? It doesn't look right to me. Maybe I'm just being paranoid?
