Default Random Low Oil Light

The low oil light came on randomly. I pulled over to a gas station, checked the level It was good, oil pressure was good, and obviously no spillage. Shut the hood, turned the car back on and the light went away and never came back on. Just to be sure but sounds like I the sensor is dying?!

change the sensor if you wanna feel better, but sounds like the tube to the oil pump fell down.
worst case it may be oil pressure being lost through bad bushings...
have you done an oil change lately?
if not do one, and cut the oil filter to see if it has any shavings....
good luck...

WTF?

The stock sensors seem a bit finicky. I will occasionally get a low oil light before a cold start in standby. If I remove the key from the ignition and reinsert it will always go away. I'll get out and check the level on the dipstick and find that everything is picture perfect so I'm guessing the factory sensors are just crap. If your level is good then don't worry about it.

I just did the oil change 3 weeks ago - 1000 miles ago... Im OCD as far as oil changes.

Bad bushing? What bushings?

Anymore opinions on bad sensor or worst comes to worst “pickup tube fell off”?

Same thing this guys said. Mine has done this for over a year, if I start the car the low oil light will be on, if you shut if off and turn it back on it goes away. oil pressure is good and has correct amount of oil.

I've figured out to a science now, if you cycle the key to "on" and not start then back to off wait 2 or 3 seconds, cycle it back to "on" and then start it, it never pops up.

Haven't got around to replacing the sender yet to verify its the issue.

Mine started doing this, I got tired of it. I check my oil before I drive anyway, so I just deleted it and plugged the hole.

There are timers that come into play for the low oil indication. The low oil check is actually done when the engine is OFF. If you get a low oil light when you start the engine and then turn it off and then back on again, the timer has not had time to complete its cycle and the light will go out. This does not indicate anything "finicky" about the sensor. It would more indicate a bad sensor or wiring.
