We are taking this request seriously. However, our priorities must be keeping stock of items already in production.

Our next step is to determine how much room will be required to pull the cam timing sprocket. As soon as we can make some CNC mill time, we will work this out.

Awesome!!!!!!!
I have time to wait for this sucker since i am just gathering arts for my next build. I do NOT plan on changing cams often however in the event that i do this will save time and money ... putting some money aside for this badass chain cover

No deposit. If we choose to do this, we'll probably do a production run of about 5 timing covers to begin with.

Totally depends on price, but I may be in for one depending on how much more then the standard billet one it is.

It will probably be in the ballpark of $900.00 for a 24x conversion kit with two-piece timing cover.

For those who don't want to do a 24x conversion, but want to keep the optispark AND have a two-piece timing cover...I think you're hoping for the impossible (well, not impossible). The face of the timing cover must move forward for adequate clearance to remove the cam timing sprocket and timing chain. Moving the face of the timing cover forward means moving the optispark forward and all of the other mess related to driving the optispark. More engineering. More production parts. More fixtures to make production parts. Higher priced final product. Probably too expensive to market to the few people who would show interest in this sort of thing.

This is great news. I for one am going to want to change to the 24x setup. So the two piece cover and the 24x setup work great for me. I especially like the idea of a double roller timing chain and easy access to the cam. I would also like to have the option to be one of the first (5). Can't wait to see what you guys figure out when you get some time on the CNC machine

Oh so this is only for the new style 24x setup? I noticed your renders are for the new style and can understand it not working with an opti, but using the opti-delete sensor for the last gen 24x wouldn't it be able to be moved back if its just the sensor and connector harness? I was hoping to be able to buy it separate and use on the original kit. Not something I need really, but it would be cool as **** to have . I guess it wouldn't make that much business sense though unless it is a real easy modification because now you're talking about modifying the program for an even smaller market - people with the last gen 24x setup that want the 2 piece cover.

Either way, $900 for the kit with cover isn't too bad. Once you source the rest of the parts you are still quite a bit less then an aftermarket standalone+harness.

Might have to "only" run the standard killer looking billet timing cover then...how will I ever survive?!?

We will not provide this solution. As you said, the market is small. Even smaller considering most who have an engine up and running with existing 24x conversion will not want to take it apart again.

So, will you be making a few without the opti for the two piece design?

We have no intentions of making any two-piece timing covers that will have provision for the optispark. All timing covers will require our 24x conversion.

So you will be making a 2 piece timing cover, but it will require your 24x setup. If so, I'm in. When can I expect a 2 piece cover to be available?

We hope to. So far, production work has stopped progress on prototyping.

We will announce it when it is available. Hopefully within the next 6 months. Hopefully sooner.

When production does start and what not are you guys thinking you'll be able to make a cover with the mechanical WP hole or just the EWP cover?
