I have LT1 396, I'm changing my top end. AFR 227's, victor jr intake, 4150 4 barrel T/B. With 52 cc heads it was 13.2:1 compression. I'm wanting to go solid roller. I will be spraying 250-300 in it also. I'm hoping to get 10.5's or quicker on motor. My old combo had stock heads, intake ported by me, comp cam 292 xfi, 52mm T/B. The car weights 3700 race weight, it went 11.70's. On motor and 11.00's on a 100 shot. I run e85 with 60lb injectors.

I'm trying to figure out what cam would put me where I want to be. I'll be changing the injectors also. Might need a little help with that too.

I would call Lloyd Elliott and ask him to spec a custom cam for you based on your setup. No reason not to go custom cam for any high hp build in my opinion.

With a combo like that you need to go custom.

LE, GTP, etc.

AI may not want to help ya since those aren't their heads. In their defense, people do stupid stuff and they want more control over the combo to make sure it performs as it should.

Lloyd is awesome to work with. I used him for my billet SR cam and talked a lot about my combo to make sure everything will work together.

 

Yeah I talked to him earlier, the cam he suggested sounds like it will put me where I want to be.
