Why would you go to the effort to build the motor without headers and then ask for advice how it will run? Rather then get flamed why not just buy headers and then ask for our opinion. Id say when all said and done it could likely be mid to high 12 sec car if setup properly.

Dude you must be buying salvage yard engines. Am I right? But anyway with headers, 3200 stall, and tune it should run mid 12's

I been fighting with my self over putting money in this car or in my ls1 Camaro.. ls1 runs great but its at 190k so its on borrowed time..

it should really be closer to 11.5:1 compression but it'll be a fun street car regardless... get rid of the flowmaster tho... they flow like crap.

More cam, more compression, more exhaust flow, higher stall. Your current setup is half baked and needs MORE EVERYTHING to be a screamer.

You are definitely choking that thing. I wouldn't worry about the cam you can make decent power out of the cc503 with the right setup. Get some nice LT's and a decent stall on it and it will be a night and day improvement.

They are pretty similar. 503 has more intake duration and slightly less lift. 503 should make a little more power but not significant.

CCA-07-305 --- 220@ .510/ 230@ .510 (1.5RR)--- 114 LSA --- 1500-5500
CCA-07-503 --- 224@ .503/ 230@ .510 (1.5RR)--- 112 LSA --- 1800-5800

Not even close. Just looking at the duration and lift numbers tells only a small part of the story. Completely different lobes. The CC305 is a mediocre cam for a mild blower setup; poor compared to the 503 for NA.

Less intake duration and a wider LSA. It's pretty much as mild as a hotcam. The 503 still has an edge on it but you should go even bigger than that because you have an A4. I went with a 503 in my car because I have to deal with cam surge in gear with the M6. You don't have to worry about that if you have a decent sized stall because the trans is doing all of the work for you. I think the 306 would be more suited.

after looking around with stock heads.. I see the cc305 running about the same number as the cc503.. 108-114.. why everyone think the 503 is so much better but I cant find the big deal?
