I have a 95 trans in my 94 car.

ok,so let me start by saying that not me nor my brother have ANY experience with transmissions, now with that said, we are contacting the guy we got the 95 4l60e from tomorrow, to ask him if it has a shift kit or not, and find out anything we can about the transmission.

now, i would love to have some pictures for reference, showing which solenoid is the pwm, and how to stake it, (since idk what im looking at when the pan is off) we found a few solutions.

pwm eliminator kit
hd2 shift kit
wire mod(requires tuning)
internal harness swap + pwm solenoid stake

to us, the cheapest solution is obviously the harness swap and solenoid stake, since we have everything we need to do it besides picture reference.

if anyone has or can show us some pictures thatd be great, had we known the 95 was different we wouldnt have bought it.

and maybe a part number for the eliminator kit

Question: If we stake it, will this allow the car to go over 4k rpms? Will it shift at its normal points?

Assuming the converter will be able to lock up after its staked that is.

The only thing staking the pwm will do id enable lockup from the converter. I really doubt that it has anything to do with the engine being able to rev past 4100 rpm.

This statement makes me think you don't quite have an understanding of how a lockup converter works.

I just read back through this whole thread again. If you dont take this car somewhere and hook up a scanner to it, You are going to be spinning gears and wasting time and effort trying to fix it. You have to do an electronic diagnostic with a quality scan tool to find out where the problem lies.
