crankhub bolt

So I lost my crank hub bolt on the road somewhere and I got an arp replacement. From what I read its 2.25 stock and the arp is 2.5. I tried the arp and it wouldnt fully seat the hub, so I cut it down to 2.25 and it still would not. I didnt know where I could get the bolt and spacer cause I cant find it from any autoparts stores. I didnt know if you guys knew what size that spacer was since I think I have the right bolt size now that its cut

GM is about the only place you're going to find it, or a good hardware store. It's a grade 8 bolt, 7/16-20. GM should have the spacer too, unless they discontinued it.

They discontinued the washer, i can get the bolt from them though, idk where else to get the washer

Do a search on ebay for 92-97 LT1 Corvette Trans Am Crankshaft Hub Washer Spacer. You should find one for $10 + $4.50 shipping. Kind of expensive, but it looks like the right one. I will be needing one of these shortly too.

Dont any of the standard sbc dampner bolts and washers fit?

I found 1 ARP for the GEN II at jegs:

U may have to call/email ARP for the correct spacer/washer by itself.

The standard bolt will fit , just use a thinner than regular SBC washer. The hole on the LT1 balancer is slightly larger around than the bolt so a 1/16 inch this hardened washer will do the job.

I would walk into Fastenal or a high-end fastener company and order the right washer. even if GM discontinued it if you provide them the specs they can get you something.

I didn't know the discontinued that, that's wild.
