What muffler is for me?

Ok so I'm wanting to change my exhaust up. I have all the 3 inch intermediate pipe up to the muffler but I don't know what muffler to get. Car has MAC mids and a Hotcam. I'd be fine with a single in/out muffler. I'm just not sure exactly what I want. I know I want it loud but I want the sound.
I like the sound of this borla pro xs but I've heard that it's actually pretty quiet:

Would I be looking for a bullet? Or a single chamber FM10?
I just want your opinions.

Honestly a bullet or single chamber will be loud and probably get old after a while, I know it did for me. I have had alot of different setups including duals with single chambers, duals with bullets, and a loudmouth. My advice would be get a moderate volume muffler you like the tone of (magnaflow and hooker would be my recommendations) and then get a cutout for when you're feeling rowdy. Having to feel like an ******* when you drive your car early in the morning or late at night will wear on you and your neighbors will thank you.

I guess I do understand what you're saying with the bullet. I had a cutout and while I liked the idle sound, I didn't really like anything else it just sounded like a truck to me. I want the good tone with the loudness. I've been reading about the borla xr-1 now, any opinion on a 3inch in/out of that?

I'm a big fan of the XR-1. I've never had it on one of my cars, but always loved the sound of them.

I'm also in favor of a cutout.

I'm running a 3" straight through Hooker Max Flow. L/T's, catless and this single muffler is a good combo. Not overly loud while cruising and sounds good when at WOT.

I added it behind a Borla adjustable catback but capped off the passenger side pipe.

I also ran a modified Borla catback which had similar tone/volume. I used 04 GTO tips since I HATED the Borla tips under a Camaro bumper.

OP, I have a brand new Hooker muffler (same one pictured above) in a box if you are interested.

I vote Magnaflow...they are stainless steel like your borla, so stay nice and shiny and like new forever, no rust. No rasp, and not too loud until you get on it.
