95 trans am Lt1 issue

95 trans am Lt1 issue

Get up in the morning start the car fires right up, let the engine warm a bit and drive it 1/4 mile and no warning no sounds motor just shuts off and won't start back up just cranks. After 15 cranks it'll start but runs bad backfires and rpms are all over the place?? What is going on

While its running bad after the engine kills off it stalls most of the time within seconds

try a new icm. when they get hot they can cause that issue. let it cool down and start it. if it starts fine and starts messing up after ithe same amount of time then its a strong possibility its the icm.

I had an opti that died a slow death like that. It would just quit on its own and continued to get more frequent. Finally wouldnt start anymore. U should have some codes. Always read your OBD codes.

My car throws no codes,a month ago I just put a new fuel rail,fuel pressure reg,opti,plugs and wires and it fired right up and drove awsome for about a week and a half. Then one day driving down the road the motor just stalled but it started right back up and it just got worse as time went on now it starts and I'll drive for 1\4 and it will kill out and takes like 20 cranks just to get it able to idle to the driveway!sometime when I turn the acc on the fuel system electronics go on the fritz with the radiator fans? I'm lost honestly
