AFR195's
#23
Did I have to? absolutely not. I went back and did it later though, this year. Mostly took it off for a larger throttle body. AFR says that the 210 heads i have work with both LT1 and LT4 intakes, so I would guess that anything that uses that same casting is the same. I can't remember specifically what AFR said when I bought mine other than the specifics on the 210's.

I finally got the heads yesterday looking at them they are a 62CC, there is also street printed into the head with 62 flat surface as well. With some other numbers printed on the head, I can't wait to get these on my car, should be good.

If you want the most out of those AFRs no better person to send them to other than Tony himself;hedesigned them after all
Youll get back a work of art that makes a good number
I have an LT1 intake I just ported and the AFR gaskets. It would be tight but "just" seal. Perhaps the LT4intake would work better...

bullshit.
You think AFR is a one man operation? Tony is an outstanding spokesman. I think you belittle the contributions of the rest of the company when you blindly give him credit for everything.

Im more than aware of the entire operation and Mamos role. OP asked a question I gave an answer that is a valid option for him. Youre assuming an awful lot not sure where youre getting that from

The heads don't need any work just some cleaning, my buddy had them done a couple of yrs ago the car hasen't been driven since than. I am going to get them ported but a guy locally can do an amazing job on them, the problem I got is shipping it is a killer living on the eastcoast of Canada..

If they are CNC'ed already he better know what hes doing or your numbers will go backwards. The avg "porter" will screw them up.
Those are pretty well optimized as they are

They rock right out of the box. Putting them on a small engine, they will more than satisfy the airflow requirements. If you plan on keeping the stock pcm with its 7k rpm cap, and don't plan on running a very aggressive camshaft then there's no need to touch the heads at all.

I was going to get them ported but decided not to now, I am going with the Comp Cams XFI 268 Cam I think. I have a tune now from PCM For Less, I am going to send the PCM, back to them to retune the car for the new head cam combo.. Thank you everyone for the answers and replies I appreciate it big time.
