Default Need help identifying this valve / part....

Putting this LE1 package together in my 95 Z-28 and have all of the vacuum and egr routing buttoned up except for this one thing right here.

all of the photos and diagrams on shbox.com and on google do not even show this part. On shbox, it does not show a splitter on the vacuum line off of the intake manifold nipple like mine does.

Basically I have an extra vacuum line and I don't know where it goes....

I attached photos of the splitter on the intake.

I don't even know what this sensor is called....

Seems like it may have only came OEM on certain years or something...

Can you guys help me out?

Here's a couple more pics of the splitter piece off the intake manifold.

Shbox just shows a single line that goes straight to the egr valve solenoid....

My 95 doesn't have one of those, either. Possibly some extra emissions crap from a California car? If you don't get an answer, I would get the part numbers off it and see what turns up on a search. Maybe that'll lead to a clue.

Yeah, it was there all the time.

There are no actual real pictures on my site, because I never had the recall done (did not want the dealer touching my car). AIR pump still going strong.

Yeah, me too. Some how I didn't think that was worth taking the car in for. Actually, I just always thought the recall was to put in a better air pump that resisted corrosion. Didn't know they also added extra valves & junk

I bought my 96 Z in 99 because of this issue, It had a engine fire. Long story short I got it all fixed, Took it up the road for the first time and smelled something burning. Got it back in the shop and found the original problem, bad check valve in the air pump system. Almost burnt the car up again. The new check valce lasted about a year and once again almost cought he car on fire. I then blocked both of them off( car was bone stock at the time) Some time later I got the recall notice in the mail, Took it in and told them the problem I had and that I had the air pump holes capped on the manifolds. Next day i go to pick the car up and sure as hell the done all the recall and didnt fix the check valves. Went strait home and took all that new junk off the had just put on.
