Default loss of power

was on my way home and decided to let her breath a little bit and put my foot down and I notice that there was no power and a crackling noise almost like marbles in a tin can or something coming from under the hood. I took my foot out and stuck it again and she squatted and went. Any ideas as to what this could be?

No, no, and no just the one time at wot and that was it. I did read somewhere that that noise could have something to do with the EGR system which I know for a fact hasn't been cleaned.

Pull your valve covers and start there.
