Default LT1 Radiator - Oil cooler bypass plug

How are you guys plugging this port? I have a short hose with a brass plug I hit on the lathe to fit. It still leaks a bit once the system gets up to temp and the water pump really starts pushing a lot of water. JB Weld + plug? Ideally I'd like to just cap it or plug it, but there's not enough material to thread it safely without it splitting in my honest opinion. Ideas would be great fellas!

I installed a Gates 18959 molded heater hose between the radiator and water pump. It's contoured nicely and sized correctly on both ends.

I'm confused, where does it attach on the pump? I have an upper and lower on mine that are connected. I had been suggest 2-part epoxy/radiator repair also to fill it in. I have the hot side of the turbo setup right up front so I'm trying to keep it as clean as possible.

Ahh are you just using an LT1 radiator in another car?? We were talking about a factory LT1 car. I've seen a rubber plug of some sort used before to block it off or you could find a radiator shop and they can maybe get you a drivers side tank without the port on it. I'm sure there is an epoxy that can be used but i'm not sure how much i'd trust it.

Go to a local parts store, buy a set of these

Use hose clamp, and done.

Those are for vacuum though aren't they?

Yes - This radiator is in my 67 firebird with factory 98-02 F-body fans and 98-02 f-body accessories. =)

Pull the tube out, then tap the hole and plug it. Or you could use a water pump from a Corvette (or a b-body) that does not use that port.

He has some form of LSjuan as a engine, part in question is radiator.

I run a cap from a auto store no issue.
