Default Coil bracket options?

How are you guys mounting your coils on your 24x or LTCC setups?

Any sponsors or users make coil brackets for LS2/Truck coils like the D581 or the D585? Haven't ordered the coils yet but leaning towards the stronger D585.

If I can save a few bucks vs the $200+ for a pair of brackets through eficonnection that would be great...don't really want to end up at $400+ just for coils and brackets since that will dig into my transmission fund lol.

Every now and then efi connection has some brackets that are blemished that they sell at a discounted price. Thats how I got mine. Call them and ask if they have any.

crappy pic, but its sorta self explanatory

Did not want the typical LSX coil pack mess up top and running the wires under the headers was safer for my app. Got em off ebay.

Huh, thats actually pretty slick! With the supervic, cantons, and billet 4150 TB I'd love to keep the top of the engine clean and thats a nice way to hide the mess of wires and keep it looking old school.

I ordered some of the D581 truck coils off ebay, pulled off a late model gen3 in perfect shape with brackets and everything. Maybe I can just drill and tap the factory brackets to the frame rails on each side and just run good quality boots on the wires going through the headers...

Wont be fun if I need to change the coils, LOL. But, I can stand having coils and wires running all over my motor.

I bought coil relocation brackets and then made brackets that mount the coil relocation brackets to the intake bolts.

Not a bad idea either.

I have a single plane so there is more room back there too...

Don't forget with a single plane usually the brake line booster attaches to the pax rear runner.

How big is the ID of the brake booster hose?

I think my Accel 4150 TB has a pretty big vacuum port on the back, along with small ones on each side...i could probably just run a barb adapter from the back one for the brake booster.

To bump an old thread, anyone make their own brackets for a cowl relocation?

I can't imagine it costing more then $30 from Home Depot or Lowes...but I'm a lazy SOB so if someone has already done the work and measurements I wouldn't mind a parts list LOL .
