The O2's were unplugged and car is running great from what I have been told. I can't remember, but I guess this thing was tuned speed density. I'll get it sorted out once it gets here.

Appreciate it. Hopefully won't have to work on it for awhile and it'll be a dependable car. Son has his license now so I may be using it as a daily for the rest of the summer.

Indeed. It's on a 2500 mile trek right now. Will be good and broken in by the time it gets to my place. I was supposed to get just the motor back after it was done, but because we moved I was too far away and my transport wouldn't take a non-running car. Builder came down and got the car, brought it back to his shop and just did the install. I'm officially a "checkbook racer" now.

It's home. Has 2200 miles on the engine as of now with no issues. Drove it for a bit and it pulls really well. Cam behaves a lot like the SR. Will most likely keep the gears that are in it as of now.

I'll get something up here soon. Want to change the oil before that. Also needs a wash badly. Paint looks even more hideous than it did two years ago. I mean it's almost painful to look at. Function over form...

I am sure you have a 12 bolt cause you did your original build so long ago. If you happen to have a 9 inch and not a 12 bolt, I have a set of 3.89's and 4.10's collecting dust if you end up changing gears. Would sell a set for really cheap to a LT1 owner. Nice to see your car up and running.

Thanks. Bought a Strange when they first became available for the f-body in 1999. I actually bought 4.11's in thinking I was going to install them after this cam swap, but the 4.56's compliment this cam nicely, so I have a set and master rebuild kit NIB.

Ok cool. I originally had 3.89's on a 26" then was going to go 4.10 but decided to go 4.30. Glad I did with a 28" inch tall tire. Pretty good combo IMO. Damn CAFE standard T56 needs some gear ratio thrown at it. Especially if you are reving to 7k or higher.

Too many other things are priority and need $$$ than the shootout, like a new paint job...

Oh, and it's not officially a Chevy yet. After the 2200 miles on the motor it hasn't leaked on drop of oil yet!

My bright teal car is also down for a repaint. Have my own paint/body shop.

I have considered getting it wrapped with a satin finish in the same color, but have been told it may last 5 or a few more years if I'm lucky.

Glad to see another SS back on the road! Hopefully you get to put some miles on it this year. Idle video sounds good. Are you still running the 2OTL?

Eh, just get a quality paint job in the same factory color. Not many clean SS cars out there anymore and I don't think I've seen a bright teal one actually on the street in 10 years or more.

Yeah I haven't seen one since the late 90's when living in the DFW area. I have decided to get it painted and will live with how it looks now. In the mean time, may get a rattle can of clear coat and do it right!
Goal is to get it done next summer. For now, hopefully I'll have to put ZERO dollars into it and just drive it (lawwlololol).

Been driving the car all week as a primary vehicle. Threw some Denso O2's in it so we'll see what happens. Last time the car was dalied was around the year 2000.
