rocker and guideplate questions
I have my box of goodies from summit, new narrow body scorpion 1.6 NSA's, 7.2 tfs pushrods, and tfs guideplates.
First thing I"m not sure about when putting the guideplates on, do you remove the lock washer under the stud? I pulled old **** rockers off, put the scorpions on and they are still movable up and down with the adjusting nut all the way tight, but i've not touched the poly lock as i can't find my allen wrenches atm...
Trying to learn this as I go, but it's all new and I'm not coming up with much search wise.

I'm trying to picture what you have going on. The guidplates should sit flat against the head, then the stud, then the rocker, adjusting nut. The lock just keeps the nut from spinning loose. There should be no washer involved. If it's still loose then something isn't right.
A picture might help.

Longer pushrods?
I ran into this similarly but it wasn't near that drastic.
I just got .050" longer pushrods and solved my issues.
Also, you lifters could be shorter than stock so your pushrods would be short.
Cam base circle could also be smaller than stock. (What happened to me)

Seems like that's what it's going to have to be. Just ordered the tool from summit to check them. So the fun continues. I do know the lifters are not "pumped" up fully yet, I had someone install everything and they were installed without being soaked.

You have to back out the poly lock to get the nut to screw down. Those lash caps are going to throw the geometry off and you'll most likely need new push rods.
The lifters are extended by the internal spring and it doesn't matter if they were soaked or not.

I'll have to pick up another set of allen wrenches all of my 3/16th are gone. I'll back them out and see what happens, but I can see the nut is not bottoming out yet either. I still am going to order the tool, just in case. No big deal to exchange them out with Summit.

Yeah if you're lock isn't backed out all the way you're definitely going to be way short. Back the lock all the way out before tightening down the nut and you just might take care of your problem

Backed the poly locks out, they fit just fine. They lock sticks out a good bit, but lash is set and everything should be good now. I double checked myself while doing lash, just to be safe.
