Default Where to place electric fuel pressure sender?

I have a 97 Lt1 that I swapped into a Chevelle, I'm going to be installing pillar gauges and was wondering where to place the sender for the electric fuel pressure gauge. I am using all AN fittings for the fuel system. I have purchased a fuel pressure AN fitting from jegs. I want to to know the best place to put it. Here is the fitting.

Should this be placed close to the fuel rail or anywhere after the filter on the feed side? I never ran an electric fuel gauge and not sure where this belongs to get the correct reading.
Thanks for any help.

Clint

Probably next to the mechanical Schrader test valve.
