With headers I would say no. Maybe with exhaust manifolds. It's really tight, you can always try. Im going through the bottom its cake in my personal op, and this is my first try with f bodies and LT1s better then twisting and turning to get in there. And I will have everything attached go in. I'm trying to get it don't tomorrow.
I have done it both ways now(top and bottom) bottom is wayyyy easier.
If you're set on going through the top, though, definatley leave the headers off. I really really doubt you could get it in that way without breaking something. If you do go through the top wait with the headers and put them on trough the bottom after. Be aware this is a major PITA. If you were to do the whole engine through the bottom, (again, much easier) you can assemble the entire engine headers and all.

I dropped the engine out the bottom and just bled the brakes before running it and no problems. Brakes work great, no abs light.

If you can use Scan9495, it'll actuate the ABS block for bleeding.
