Oil leak under load
#21
Don't have too much to add other than that I'm having the same "oil covering entire underbody and back bumper" thing and I had just assumed it was the rear intake manifold leak, or the RMS, and while I was doing a trans swap lately, I realized that the main culprit is much more likely to be a front timing cover, and/or oil pan gasket. I have evidence of the intake manifold leak, but it's very minor, and the RMS was still money when I took the original trans out after ~170k, so I left it in place, thinking I would probably do more harm than good.
However, everything that touches the oil pan are appeared to be leaking like ****. Was not prepared to deal with that during trans swap, don't know when I'll get around to it, but I'm also only losing a quart or 2 over like 10,000 miles or so, so it's much less urgent than OP.
