Default 1993 Firebird Formula HELP

A few nights ago, my 93 Formula was running fantastic with no issues. I drove it to the local Wal-Mart and when I came back out, it started to have issues. When turning the key, the car tries to start on the second click (run position) rather than when you turn the key forward to start. It also sounds like the starter is still on once the car starts. I haven't found anyone else who has experienced this issue so I came here. Any help on figuring this out would be greatly appreciated by myself and my broken bird :/

Id look into the ingintion switch. Not the cylinder, the actual switch.

Very strange, maybe the stigma of f body's and mullets have finally combined with the stigma of mullets and wal mart and your car didn't want to leave its natural habitat.

That's what we've been looking at but i'm tired of buying parts and them not being the issue. Your second thought towards the ignition switch is helpful. Gonna go pick one up probably sometime today, i'll post back if it fixes it for any issues that other members have aswell.

Mine did this car shortly after i got it running. Check your starter wire for fraying mine was frayed showing bare wire, well that bare wire was hitting something metal down there causing the starter to engage while driving, I also found a loose ground (like 2-3 threads) the one by the battery, near your PS fluid reservoir.

I'll definitely check those, previous owner messed up some wiring real bad lol. Thanks for the advice.

If the P.O messed up the wires, I'd start there, before I bought a new ignition switch. Find all the wiring that engages the starter and check them for a short to ground with a multimeter. You can also check the ignition switch its self.
