Thanks guys. Yes long time coming and it took awhile, but here it is!
The stock block LT1 that I had in this car, I believe was a freak block, lol. Only had 72,000+ miles since new. It handled whatever I threw at it. Up to 200 shots of nitrous,7200 rpm solid roller cam repeatedly and never had a hiccup. In the pics, was when a pushrod gave out during a dyno session and it took pretty much everything. After tear down of the block, crank and rods were still in good condition with the exception of the one piston. The heads were shot and unrepairable.
To make long story short, I initially planned on rebuilding the LT1 to a 396 stroker, but at the time I could not pass up a deal on brand new LS3 aluminum block, so from there I was snowballed to the world of LSX,lol.
Can't wait to see what she does at the track this Spring!

It sounds and looks incredible.
If my LT1 ever gives up to the point of needing a new block, my plans are to drop at least a 525hp LS3 crate into the engine bay.

Absolute beast. I love the look of the lt1 cars. Should be good for high 9 sec pass?

I support LS upgrades like these mainly because the car had the original motor in it. And you stuck with it until it went kaboom. 2nd of all, if you find a LS block or setup for an absolute steal then I would upgrade as well. Hoping I could find a Gen 2 LSX block for about $1k or less. If I could find that, I'd go LS in a heartbeat!

Thanks. Can't wait for track testing in Spring.

UPDATE:
The car never made it for track testing. The trans ( built, non lock up 4L60E) took a dump from test runs in the back roads. I'm done with 4L60E. Looking into a built TH400 with a transbrake, new stall, driveshaft, trans cross member, and shifter. This build never ends, do they?LOL.
