I agree with solo. He will be in the 350 range. Buddy of mine had a bolt on and hotcammed LT1 made 345wheel. He's got heads too, however conservatively I'm thinking 350-360.

those heads can run a way bigger cam, you're shortchanging yourself

since we are bench racing here....350 rwhp may be a bit high with the hot cam but not far under that

unless OP has the hot cam now...I would get a custom grind from LE.

I had a stock bottom end, mildly ported GM AL heads with the same bolt ons (but shorty headers) and made 350 RWHP & 351 RWTQ. This was with a baby 214/220 custom cam on a 91 octane tune

I do not have the hot cam as of yet. I have everything else i posted above. I am not entirely decided on the cam. I know there are better choices for more power, but im also looking at reliability and driveability.
This car is an a4 and im going with either 3.42 or 3.73 gears.

Definitely choose a different cam. Those heads have much more potential

The Hot Cam will be "OK"....but given the cost and effort to do a cam I would go with newer cam technology and a custom grind from Lloyd

http://elliottsportworks.com/?page_id=32

You should be at the 350hp goal with his 218/224 one but the 224/230 one would make more power and have a little more "cam idle" sound.

Your stock injectors and fuel pump may not be enough so factor that into your cam choice. 30 lb injectors and a 255 LPH pump. PCM tune regardless of what cam you pick

I was looking into his 224/230 cam but had also considered the 226/232. I also just contacted Ai to see what they have to offer. This engine is going into a third gen iroc that is carbed. I had already figured in the fuel pump, but not the injectors. Thanks for the heads up.

??? carb LT1 going into 3 rd gen, cool,...so you won't be needing injectors. And yeah if carb than a new fuel pump (like about 4-5 psi for the carb). I will put a carb LT1 into my 70 Nova

My $.02 on the SA RR....if your going with a cam that wants to rev to 6700 let alone 6100 I would go with NSA RR and guide plates. High RPM's and SA can not mix well and the SA RR can pop of valve tip. 5700 RPM is about it for SA, IMHO

and if this is a carb motor with Trick Flow heads you might want to discuss with Lloyd on a cam for the carb motor vs selecting from the various ones for LT1 FI cars he lists on his site.
