Default Do 275/40/17 tires fit a fourth gen f-body?

Stock-ish height. Currently have C4 replica wheels. The tires on car are 265 / 35 / 17 I believe. Looks ugly imo and the tires are starting to wear out.

Yes. I run 275/40/17's front and rear on 17x9.5's. You can run an 11 inch rear wheel on the back of them with 305's no problem.

Yes, they came with that size stock on certain packages. I have 275/40/17 on my Camaro with 17x8.5 Firehawk wheels.

Show: think it was an option. Also 1LEs had body colored top.

Yeah, I didn't look specifically for a matching color top, but I was looking for a hardtop/6-speed. Took about two years to find what I wanted. Late '99 Robert Woodall Chevy, in Danville, VA, called saying "I think we've found what you've been looking for, just traded in....". I had been there about 8 months earlier looking at another Z28.

1996 Z28, 35K on the car, one owner, factory manuals in the trunk with a nail bookmarking the optispark page(LoL!!!). Hehe, that made me wonder if it had opti trouble(they said no trouble with it), but I didn't care as I knew what I was getting into. We agreed on $14,500.

Traded in my '96 3.8 on it. Ordered it new...5M with Y87 package. These were taken back just before digital cameras were born. I did the following to it....RK Sport sway bars, Lingenfelter intake, RK Sport Dynomax super turbo muffler system(hands down best sounding muffler for a 3.8V6....sounded like a small V8...ZERO rasp), and 16x8 SS clones. Had a love/hate thing for the 16x8 SS wheels....the 17x9 with the lower profile tires look much better in my opinion. However, I was looking to save money by using the tires off my salad shooters.

You can clearly see where my user name came from. =)

Uncropped and a little better quality...

I had always wondered what happened to that car. I still have the VIN and car faxed it a couple of years ago. It's now in the Charlotte, NC area and has also had a run in with a tree. =(
