OEM T/B Elbow WARNING
OEM T/B Elbow WARNING while tuning a car on the dyno this past weekend, after the 2nd pull the motor started falling off, and at wot would not rev up, Didn't see anything wrong in the tune so I checked over the motor while making a pull, when the throttle started to be applied, the Elbow started collapsing and at WOT was fully squeezed shut, the was a new replacement that was purchased from the Chevy Dealership so I guess these are being made overseas now..
This was an N/A motor, 383 with a small cam and head work.

Yeah I have a 1LE I bought about 15 years ago and it's holding up good. I didn't think there were such a thing as 'OEM' replacements for parts like this.

same here , wonder if he bought it from a site that claims oem gm parts, but he said he purchased it from a Chevy dealer so who knows, looks like the real elbow but made of soft rubber material

I was thinking serious vacuum as well(plugged on the filter end)....
That is pretty bad....something has obviously got to be wrong with the manufacturing of it. Try to get your money back or at the very least an exchange.
Video what it's doing and show it to the dealership. It's got to be pretty dang soft to collapse like that.
