I've been running these wires. I was tired of burning up wires [
even after routing them away from the headers...] these things are tied up real good and haven't had a misfire yet! They may be pricey, but think about all the plug wire sets people can go through from burning them on the exhaust from poor routing... These things withstand 600-2000 deg F!!

I used Taylor Swifts with short tubes, Then after going LT's went to doing make them yourselves Moroso's or Accels just to route the wires the way I wanted. I like doing the universal wires just because of that advantage.
FireCore Wire Hi All, I began with the use of Magnacore wire needed for my twin turbo Pantera kits. (1973)
When DIS was created, I found the requirement for MORE wire resistance needed to allow for a longer spark.
That created a wire (8.5mm) of a specific design/manufacturing process with a 5O OR 250 Ohm per foot choice.
The wire brand name would be FireCore.
The Impedance of the SPW is VERY important as that resistance (higher) WILL allow the spark to be longer as ALL OEMs have found.
Thus LS-x CNP wires less than a foot in length, I use/specify the use of FireCore 250 wire.
The Opti/Distributed application of wire sets greater than one foot in length, I use the FireCore 50 wire.
The RPM Range of the engine enters the choice question with low RPM engine operation requiring MORE wire resistance.
I can provide a FireCore wire set with either A-Bit, HT, Opti coil ends, no steel boots.

I had some really fancy Firecore wires I used OVC for awhile. They have to be custom made, and when I ordered them they did nothing but bitch about how the opti ends are different than traditional. Never did get a coil wire. E-mailed a few times and finally threatened to stop payment. That's when they e-mailed me "Oh we were racing. Sorry!" I at least got the plug wires. Didn't bother with the coil wire. IIRC owner said mine were the last set he'd do with an LT1. Not sure how true that is. This was about five years ago.
