RMS Install Tool
Anyone have experience with this? At $95 including the Fel-pro seal, it's a way better deal. The metal ring is just an optional sleeve it comes with in case you have grooves on your crank, which I shouldn't.
I always use the rubber one....but I have the "tool". Bought it on ebay about 17 years ago for $40 used
otherwise...
The Teflon one you use the plastic sleeve and use a wide punch and or small hammer to tap it in, no oil on install
The rubber one you oil and just use a wide punch like previous post said to drive it in
Last time I saw one of the KM tools on ebay it was exploding wallet but if you find one cheap well worth it. Very plug & play for RMS install
One it the J-35621-1A
The other is J-35621-UPD2 which means update #2. I can't find a picture though. I could grab either of these for less then $70 which is half of a used ebay version of the -B model. Anyone know about these?

You can see in the pic below there are 3 slots to use a screw driver to pry the old one out. Then just oil up the new RMS and slide it over crank and tap gently around the seal until it is flush with the RMS adapter. Very straight forward
Yeah the tool is very plug & play to install but this is one seal that itself is really easy to install without the Kent Moore, or clone, tool
