Default Tuning Question

So the car has been sitting over a year now and I just put in a new starter, fuel pump with the racetronix kit. Here is my concern, I also added 30lb ford svo red top injectors to replace the stock 24lb injectors and added an adjustable FPR. Would it be easier to get it tuned with the stock FPR or leave the adjustable one on there and let them tune it out like that?

Adjustable regulators on a NA engine add nothing.

If you're gonna keep the car NA.....then put the OEM FP regulator on permanently.

And definitely use it for the tune.

Using the FP regulator for tuning only comes into play if necessary, which I have only encountered a couple of times, this was with either forced induction where the injector wasnt quite large enough or on a huge solid roller set up. you can use the adjustable one, just set it to factory specs and leave it, if someone has to play with the FP on a mild setup, then they dont know what they are doing..KW is right, they dont add anything, well in a way, our cars came rich from the factory and back in the day, we would add an adjustable FP regulator and actually turn down the pressure and gain a couple of horses.

Default Lt1 tune

Nobody really tunes lt1 anymore, especially on a dyno. Best bet is pcm4 less, or ed Wright mail order. I'm doing the ls pcm swap for this very reason. Finding someone to tune a blown lt1 is the needle in a hay stack

I'm in broward as well, and could probably find somebody for you, but what you listed doesn't qualify for in my mind to waste $ dyno tuning. Do you have heads and cam mods? Long tubes?

4L60-E Transmission Automatic 30 lb svo red top ford injectors Long tube headers 3.5 inch exhaust Big cam New plugs/wires Cat delete, 58 mm throttle. Would I be better off switching to a ls pcm??

OP

don't drive around without a tune if you put in the 30 lb injectors. You will be over fueling the motor and wash down the cyl walls. Put the 24's back in until you get it tuned
