Default Fixing the coolant crossover line 94 camaro z28 Lt1

Hello from Indiana! I was just wondering if I could just put a rubber hose over my coolant crossover line behind the heads because I had to cut the line to remove the heads. Can I just put a rubber hose over the cut part and clamp it down?

If you are referring to the metal coolant crossover tube that is bolted to the back of the cylinder heads with banjo bolts, then yes, you could use rubber hose with clamps to connect them. Make sure you clamp them tight and also pay attention to how you run the line. I would try to make sure that there are no high points in the rubber line you use so that you reduce the chance of trapping air there. You don't want leaks that are hard to get to, especially on an LT1 which is notorious for air pocket issues and overheating. When you fill up the car with coolant, make sure to properly bleed ALL of the air out using both of the coolant bleeder screws.

If you cannot put a replacement factory line in there, I would go the AN hose conversion route (you can search for a long thread about it), rather than risking a rubber hose back in an area that is difficult to service. MHO.

....wait, why are there two threads about this?....
