Headers

I'm sure everyone had read something about this at this point but I have a 97 trans am and I wanted to know what's the best set of headers I can get that's worth the price and wont cause any leaks If anyone can help I'd really appreciate it

i used pacesetters. they fit perfect. 300$. worth it to me for my application. stainless or coated would last longer but are a few more bucks.

Find something that is going to be easiest to install. Its a complete pain to try and get them in if they are long tubes.

I had Hooker Super Comps, then switched to the stepped XS Power stainless headers. Quality was all around better on the XS Power headers, welds, flange, primary to flange transition, merge collector, etc, and they are stainless so they won't rust out like the Hooker's did.

Is there any cutting/banging on the k-member to make the XC headers fit? Just curious.

You drive yours in road salt? I've had the same hooker LT's on mine since the late 90's. Drove it once in PA during a snow storm on a road full of salt and that was the beginning of the end for the lovely finish. They still don't leak, but are rusted to ****.
