Default Zex nitrous on a 95 z28

so I have a stock 1995 z28 camaro, I want to get into racing, I recently bought a K&N cold air intake and my next step was planning on buying a zex dry nitrous kit, has anyone done this? And how did it turn out for you? Max hp rating? Ease of install? Any information appreciated. Thanks guys😁

Dont go dry. Buy a wet kit.. its a lot safer on a stock motor.

Don't put a dry kit on a LT1. The plenum does not do well in making sure the nitrous is distributed evenly.

sweet thanks, is there anything else that would be worth while upgrading or buying to ensure safe use? Or am I all ready to go after the fuel pump and kit? Thanks

This Zex kit is pretty much the only safe kit id run if your just looking to run only the kit. Because that kit can tell if your going to rich or too lean and will shut off the nitrous. I would also buy some NGK TR6 spark plugs to go with it, as they are a step colder than the stock plugs. Run those and you shouldn't need to pull any timing..

I had a wet kit on my 95 Z28 back in the day before I went heads and cam. I'd stick with a wet kit over a dry kit unless you're super confident in your fuel system. I ran a 100 shot on a stock fuel pump on a low mileage car years ago. I would upgrade to a Walboro 255 with a hotwire kit for piece of mind. You can do crazy stuff with dedicated wet sides if you really turn into a nitrous junky down the line. There is a nitrous forum here, I'd do a lot of reading and absorb. Another tip: Don't skimp on nitrous wiring. I used too thin gauge wiring the first time wiring my kit and kept blowing fuses for the kit. It'll save you a lot of hassle to use thicker stuff from the start.

There are a few things I'd get in addition to the kit:
NGK TR6 spark plugs: Someone covered this already, they run colder and you can get by on a stock tune. I'd invest in a nitrous tune down the road.
Bottle warmer: Nitrous jets are flowed at 1000psi (iirc). If your bottle is cold and the pressure under 1000 psi, you won't get your full hit.
Blown Down Tube: Safety item. In case your bottle gets too hot and gets over pressurized in the summer in a hot car. They can explode. This will vent the gas outside the car safely.
Purge Solenoid: When you hook up your line and crack the valve on your bottle, you've got a lot of air between your bottle and solenoid. This purges the air out of the line for a more immediate hit.

You're welcome. You might also consider a window switch so your kit switches off when the automatic goes to shift. It'll save some wear and tear on it until you get a built transmission.

Im pretty sure the kit i sent you has the internally threaded port by the nozzle so you can go ahead and also buy a blow down kit with for like 50$ that'll make sure your bottle doesn't go kaboom in your car. lol
