484hp 437tq
Not much gain but the extreme wheel spin was killing the torque numbers. My fault tho....went to the dyno with dry rotted tires. Lead plates and cast iron big block heads still didn’t fix it. All the gains were past 5200 RPM where the monoblade could flow more than the 58mm

Interesting. I have a similar combo and have been considering a monblade as well, so good info, much appreciated. Just out of curiousity, did you see any negative effects from the monoblade? Such as slower throttle response, trouble iding, anything like that?

Throttle response is better......almost too fast. I’m having to relearn how to drive the car becuz of the amount of air rushing in with the bigger blade. Idle did have to be recalibrated but that’s what tuners are for.

Good to know. Sounds like there isn't really a downside to it even if the gains are minimal. I was worried that the idle might suffer because of eliminating the IAC feeding the built-in idle circuits in the manifold. Thanks for the info.

The mono blade has crossed my mind several times, with 7000 rpm shift points correctly and the proposed solid roller build in mind with LS PCM conversion, 7500-8000 could potentially be my rev ceiling. I can see the mono blade being a benefit.

Really needs a 4" air intake and a LS7 cartridge MAF in a 100mm housing to do it correctly.

Would love to see the dyno sheet. Planning on taking it to the track?

I wasn't going to leave that part out of actually doing it, brotha... I just didn't mention it.

Oh I forget. A MAF upgrade is a dirty thing around here. Actually getting an abundance of air into your engine.

I'd be really interested to see what your setup would do with the LS lid conversion and CHRS1313 man. I've spoken to Lloyd about my SR setup several times and one thing he consistently brings up is the intake style. He was the main reason that I went to the setup years ago and I can honestly tell you that it made the big end pull way different. It felt like I had done a cam swap again. It gave me a legit additional 300rpm of actual pull on the shifts that I never expected and from about 4800+ it felt like a different car. That was before the CHRS1313 Ram Air. The way the car pulls with it just blows me away.
There's been a lot of bickering back and forth between members here on intake parts, tubing, MAF & throttle body size etc. From the experience I've had with my car thus far every single time I'm able to shove more air to it, it just gets better which is why Chris (Fast355) and I will likely soon get together on an LS7 MAF and a bigger lid. I want to see what it will do with my current setup and I'm absolutely convinced that above 7000 with a solid roller it's going to really shine!

Interesting......well we actually did do a pull on speed density with no intake and it actually lost power. I figured it was due to air turbulence. No intake to funnel the air to the TB

The power your car makes is impressive especially given the 10.5:1 compression and 91 pump gas limitation.
